The following exercise may be a challenge for those of us used to these types of routines when eating, but it will teach us to slow down and be mindful during our meals. I call it Eating Meditation and I know you can do it. . . and you'll enjoy it. :)
For when you are eating at home: If you are pressed for time a good idea is to pre-prepare your meal in order to give you the most time possible to enjoy it. Or ask your co-workers for a little extra time for lunch. Let them know you’ll be running a bit late. This will gave you no pressure to finish at any particular time. The most important rule is No TV – in this exercise we want no distractions between you and your food. Leave the tube off. This also goes for radio and music. No outside stimuli allowed.
For when eating out: This is going to be more difficult. I suggest that you practice "eating meditation" at home a few times before attempting it eating out. In this case, especially if you are eating outdoors, you want to observe your surroundings fully, but not let it become a distraction to your meal and you. View all the colors and textures you see around you. Look in the eyes briefly of all the people who are eating as well. Do not try to listen to their conversations. Instead, observe them and see how unique each person is.
Sit comfortably – be relaxed but maintain good straight posture throughout your meal.
Breathe – breathe slowly and deeply in and out throughout your meal and while you are chewing.
Eat Slowly – observe your self making every move you make in the journey of your food from the plate to your mouth. Observe your self taking your fork or spoon in hand, slowly cutting into the food. Look at the different colors and textures your food is. See how the shape of your food changes or the different shapes which remain when your fork presses into the food. I suggest that you use your hands instead of utensils as often as possible. Still doing it slowly just like if you had a fork or spoon. Using your hands will give you direct stimuli and the ability to "feel" your foods.
Stay Focused - Always be thinking about what is happening in the moment. If your mind wanders off to what you need to get done with the rest of your day or is tempted to grab the remote and turn on the TV. Relax, take a nice breath, don’t punish your self for wandering(it happens), and refocus your observations back to your food and your meal. You want to observe and enjoy every single action as it happens in the very moment it is happening.
Intention – it is very important to remember the power of intention. Our food is our fuel to keep the machine going, but our food also works to keep us healthy and can help prevent or even heal us. So when you are eating use intention to help guide the food through your body to the places it can go to help keep you healthy. As you are chewing on your carrot and swallowing it imagine your carrot absorbing into your body and going all over to help protect your body from cancer. Also as you eat your celery picture it being absorbed and going to your kidney to help strengthen its toxin elimination. Now, if you are eating some massively processed food like from, say McDonalds, your intention can be present, but your body is going to say “Who does this fool think they are? What the heck am I supposed to do with this garbage?” So to get the proper results you should be knowledgeable and eating the proper foods.
Savor Your Lovely Meal – as the food enters your mouth observe how tasty it is. Is the food hot or cold? How does it make your tongue feel? Is it crunchy or soft? Sweet or savory? Chew slowly and think about all the moves your mouth makes and how it works together with your tongue to chew. Stop and let your tongue probe the food again so it can savor in the flavor. Chew many times so that your food as able to go down easily. Observe your hand reaching for a drink. Slowly take your beverage into your mouth. Take your time and taste it as you softly swallow it. How does the glass feel? Is your drink hot or cold? What does it smell like?
Do your best to stay in the moment and concentrating on you and your meal throughout. When you are finished take 3 deep breaths. Thank mama Earth (Gaia) for providing such a great tasting meal that you have fully savored, enjoyed, and meditated upon. Remember, during your meal, to think about what it took to get your food to you from being planted in the ground, to tended, harvested, shipped, processed, delivered, purchased, chopped, plated, touched, seen, and eaten.
I know that if you practice this meditation often you will experience something new and very moving in the grace you create in the moment.

How To Begin Using The Ancient Solfeggio Frequencies
I've been meaning to write up a brief how-to guide in order to help those interested in starting to use the Solfeggio tones. There are quite a few ways in which one can use them. In this note I will discuss a way to integrate the tones into one's method for clearing the chakras.
A few important things to keep in mind before I begin: 1. These instructions are not the only way to do this. This primer is only meant to give you some basic principles. They are how I've been working with them. I welcome you to play with these instructions and change them around in a way that best resonates within your own personal work.
2. Intention is the key to using these tones. If we aren't using intention in our work it will be difficult to experience any results. Allow your imagination and intention to open up and guide them.
3. These frequency vibrations are powerful. Ancient human cultures used them for a myriad of purposes that we've barely begun to rediscover and understand. The ancient Egyptians may have utilized Solfeggios tones in many ways, including as an aid in the erection of their temples. The ancient Gregorian Monks integrated these tonal structures into their chanting. These chants imparted intense spiritual blessings onto their congregation and, when they all chanted together, the tones they created tapped into the God-Energy that lies within us all. The powers-that-be then sought to and succeeded in suppressing the knowledge and use of these tones from humanity. They knew the power that these tones can emit. Finally, we are now beginning to rediscover these vibrations and how they can help us.
4. The tones I use, and make available to others, are the pure exact sine wave tones. There are other practitioners using these same tones, but they are interlacing them within other outside tones created with keyboards and they are dressing them up to make them more musical sounding; perhaps for easier consumption. The issue I have with these kinds of dressed-up tones is we are not really getting the purely extracted tones from these types of recordings. I feel this can confuse our intention and make it more difficult to begin working with them. I personally feel that one must use the tones in their purest form possible when integrating them into one's intricate inner work for the first time. I do use these tones within my musical creations and have found them to possess high-order vibrational properties. The energy just seems to take on a different form when these tones are sounded. I continue to work on ways in which these tones can be integrated into music and keep their energy potential activated and easily accessible.
HOW TO USE THE ANCIENT SOLFEGGIOS TO HELP CLEAR THE CHAKRAS
Go to my download page and download my mp3 file titled: Ancient Solfeggio Frequencies - 7 Chakra Tunings. This is an mp3 file of all 7 Solfeggio Frequencies as they relate to the 7 Chakra System. The file is a 30 minute track of all 7 Frequencies laid out individually starting with 396 Hz. This tone plays for about 4 minutes then slowly it is merged with and replaced by the next Solfeggio frequency, which is 417 Hz. It plays for about 4 minutes and moves on to the next. It goes like this through all 7 tones. After the last tone (963 Hz) is played, all 7 tones at once play for about 4 minutes and then the track is over. I have created this track specifically for cleansing the chakras.
The method of chakra clearing I feel is very simple to use is Alberto Villoldo's method from his book "The Four Insights: Wisdom, Power, and Grace of the Earthkeepers". Pick up this book. It is incredible!
I will integrate how I use the tones within his cleansing directions:
Begin by finding a quiet spot. You may sit in a meditative position for this exercise or you may also do this lying comfortably in your bed. Close your eyes and take a few deep, focused breaths. Let your thoughts float out in front of you, paying no attention to them, as you continue to inhale and exhale deeply.
(Alternately: It is at this moment where I usually get "grounded" by connecting my root chakra to Gaia if I do not already feel that I am grounded)
Bring your hands together in the prayer position in front of your chest, with your fingertips touching. Rest your hands against your chest as you maintain this pose. Inhale deeply and exhale. Inhale and exhale. Breath deeply several times. Now begin playing my Ancient Solfeggio Frequencies - 7 Chakra Tunings mp3 using a portable headphone player or your stereo. Make sure the listening volume is not too loud, but comfortable for you.
Separate your hands, shake them vigorously, and then return them to the prayer pose. Notice the feeling of energy coursing between your fingertips - then separate your hands very slowly, maintaining this feeling. With your eyes closed, try to see if you can perceive the threads of light between your fingertips, creating a sensation of tingling or warmth.
Move your right hand over your root chakra, to its wide mouth two inches away from your skin, Feel its energy as it spins and rotates clockwise. Feel how the first Ancient Solfeggio tone (396 Hz) vibrates within and creates a geometric shape of this energy. Now begin unwinding the chakra by slowly spinning your hand counter-clockwise ten times, imagining your body as the face of the clock and your fingers as the hands. Explore the inside of this vortex of light with your fingertips, sensing its energy and noting whether it is cool or warm, tingly or sludgy. Feel the stream of toxic energy flowing out of your chakra, as you exhale, and down in the center of the earth as you back-wash this chakra sending its used up energy down into the earth so She can transmute it back into new fresh energy and light.
Now return your root chakra to its normal direction of spin and rotation by slowly turning your hand clockwise ten times. As you inhale slowly feel the new light energy coming up from the center of the earth and re-energizing your root chakra. Also feel the new light energy coming down from the center of the Universe and re-energizing your chakra. Sense this 1st Solfeggio tone merging with your root Chakra. Imagine this tone is what your Chakra would sound like. Feel the tone vibrating and creating a geometric shape representing this chakra and imagine this shape revolving clockwise like a singing galaxy.
Because every chakra is associated with particular feelings, as you cleanse each one you may notice that certain emotions or memories arise spontaneously. Allow these sensations to wash through you and down into the earth without analyzing them. You’re doing this work at the level of Spirit so do not distract yourself with these feelings. Allow these sensations to pass through you like a soft breeze and down into Gaia. They will subside on their own after you’ve taken a few deep breaths. (Please note that you may not feel any sensations as you do this practice. If this is the case, don’t worry, the exercise is effective and powerful, whether you experience any feelings or not.)
As the 1st Solfeggio tone slowly begins to merge with the 2nd tone, move on to your 2nd Chakra (The Sacral Chakra).
Repeat this unwinding action with each of the first seven chakras, in-line with the Solfeggio tones, to cleanse them of any psychic debris, and then be sure to wind them clockwise again, re-energize them, and imagine them vibrating into revolving geometric vortices. Alternately, I would encourage others to also hum along vocally with each tone. Doing this will create a physical vibration in the body and could lead you to new territory, vibrationally.
After you’ve cleansed the 7th chakra and the 7th Solfeggio tone fades out, all 7 Solfeggio Tones will begin to play. Become aware of how all 7 chakras are now cleansed, re-energized, vibrating into colorful geometric patterns, and fully aligned with one another.
As all 7 tones now fade out, imagine that you are hovering a few inches above your physical body. After a few minutes cross your hands over your heart chakra and take three deep breaths. Fully inhabit your physical body. Shake your hands gently and vigorously and knead them together. Rub your face with your hands and slowly open your eyes. Stretch out gently. Wiggle your fingers and toes.
That's it. :) You're now using the Ancient Solfeggio Frequencies. Enjoy.
